Indianola Metropolis Manager Ryan Waller stated in anemail that the traffic signal on East Iowa Avenue, east of North Jefferson Way, has a defective vehicle sensor. He said this sensor alerts targeted visitors lights at this intersection when a motor vehicle is approaching from the east.

The malfunctioning car sensor is a loop underneath the concrete that senses when a vehicle is on major of it and sends a sign to the traffic gentle. Because it is not sending a signal, the targeted visitors light switched to applying an automatic timer to control targeted traffic.
