Applications for MEDC tiny organization aid grants open Tuesday

Little enterprise homeowners negatively impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic will be ready to utilize for a grant of up to $20,000 starting Tuesday.

The Michigan Strategic Fund board on Thursday authorised $55 million in grants for compact corporations, part of a broader COVID-19 aid invoice passed by the Michigan Legislature and signed by Gov. Gretchen Whitmer past 12 months. 

The Michigan Financial Enhancement Corporation is coordinating the effort with 15 nearby or nonprofit economic development organizations that cover the 83 counties across the state awarding the funds.

Grants of up to $20,000 are accessible to businesses that are entirely shut. Grants of up to $15,000 will go to businesses that have been partly closed, or are open up and can present the detrimental impact the pandemic has experienced on their business.
