Located 20 miles northeast of the city, Bussey’s Flea Market is one of the largest flea markets in Texas. Mi Mercado Flea Market and Ballroom

Flea markets worth the drive
Bandera Market
Located northwest of San Antonio, on Bandera Road in Helotes, the Bandera Market is a disabled veteran- and women-owned small business. In addition to shopping for fabulous flea market finds (handcrafted leather goods, woodworks, jewelry, crafts, Texas-style food), visitors go to Bandera to play pool and hear live music on the weekends. In addition to on-site food vendors, the Bandera Market has a Fruteria Sanchez stand which sells Mexican corn in a cup made of fresh corn right off the cob.

Approximately 65 miles north of San Antonio near I-35 is where you’ll find the Kyle Flea Market. Open every Saturday and Sunday, the old-school flea market has a big garage sale vibe, with vendors situated in outside and indoor stalls. In April, the flea market started offering train rides for kids and a new barbecue vendor. If you’re looking for specific items, Sunday is known to have more vendors and to be the better day to find treasures.

Austin Country Flea Market
Venturing further north than Kyle, and just five miles east of IH35 at 9500 US-290, the year-round Austin Country Flea Market also has an old-school traditional vibe. Whether you go for the turkey legs and hot roasted corn or to hear live music (on weekends) and to shop at over 300 vendor booths, the Austin Country Flea Market will not disappoint — it’s one of the oldest and largest flea markets in the Central Texas area. Visitors can expect to find new and used items such as jewelry, furniture, clothing, collectibles, electronics, garage sale items, auto accessories, tires and tools.

812 outdoor market
Further north, nearly 90 miles from San Antonio, is where you’ll find Austin’s 812 Outdoor Market. From its festive atmosphere and live music to flea market finds, there’s a lot to see and enjoy in this open-air market. On Saturdays, visitors can enjoy live music from noon until 5:30 and on Sundays from noon until 7:30 p.m. If you work up an appetite after perusing hundreds of vendors selling new and used items, nosh on authentic Mexican food and beer as well as tacos, soups, salads and more.
